Easy Steps to Chinese 

Level I to Level VIII

[Introductionï¼½

This Course adopts a new approach to teaching Chinese as a foreign language. It is designed for both primary and secondary school students who are taking Chinese exams, such as GCSE/IGCSE/AS (U.K.), SAT II/AP (U.S.A.), IB Chinese Language B Standard Level, or for those students who are starting to learn Chinese.

Easy steps to Chinese includes 8 books with three stages: Stage 1-Book I and II; Stage 2-Book 3,4,5 and 6; Stage II -Book7 and 8.The goal of this classes is to help students establish a solid foundation of vocabulary, knowledge of Chinese &its culture and communication skills through the natural and gradual integration of language , content and cultural elements. The approach of of the curses is designed to emphasize the students' development of communication skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing.

This series courses cover PinYin, Chinese character & strokes, Grammar & sentence structures, Dictionary skills, Typing, â€‹and listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

[Course requirements]

In order to ensure the quality of teaching, the following requirements are specially set for the admission conditions of students: For students, whose Chinese is not their first language, they must have at least two years or more of learning experience, and be able to speak Chinese. For students of Chinese heritage, they do not need to have the learning experience of Chinese.

[Course Schedule  & Fee]​

  • Classes are held on weekday evening or weekend morning for 1 hours per lesson, This is year round classes. We provide two sessions  per year.  Once you register, the instructor will contact you and make an appointment for one hour Chinese Level evaluation. Recommenced enrollment date is before August 15th.

       Session I: September to December ( Fall )

       Session II: January to June ( Spring )

  • Tuition: 

       Session I: $30 per hr or $1018 per session with 36 classes/Evaluation Fee: $50. $980 if you registered and pay the           full amount of tuition before June 9th in Fall session.

 

       Session II: $30 per hr or $1350 per session with 45 classes/Evaluation Fee: $50. $1215 if you registered and pay             the full amount of tuition before December 9th in Spring session.

Note: Tutoring is depending on how many the student is in the class:

1 vs 2: $30 per hr

1 vs 4: $25 per hr

1 vs 6: $22 per hr

1 vs 8: $20 per hr

1 vs 12-25: $10 per hr

 

[Course Format]

In order to facilitate students' flexible students' activities, the intensive class will be conducted through online teaching. For students who have enough time, they can " meet" with their teachers two times a week, just like the normal classes. For students whose time schedule is not flexible enough, they can watch the online class footage.All registered students have a link to the course playback, which allows unlimited playback of learning.

[Teachers and Teaching Materials]

The quality of courses is our foundation! To this end,  Education Connects Group has hired a group of senior teachers with many years of teaching experience in Chinese. The teaching materials will also be used by the combination of reference books and self-compiled materials, thus laying a good foundation for autonomous learning and examination preparation for future.
